One mile walk at 9:30 AM

Help support the organization which is working to create an integrated walk-bike-trail system throughout Memphis and Shelby County.

Preregistration: $13 MRTC member, $15 non-member. Day of Race: $20.

Race will be two laps through the Old Forest. Start and finish at the Rainbow Lake Pavillion. See map (attached).

Age group TROPHIES ! 3 deep: under 9, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54,55-59, 60-64, 65+, and OVERALL, MASTERS, and GRANDMASTERS.

Also, PRIZES ! (Some so good they are SURprizes !)

In November 2011, launched we the Chelsea Greenline project with a with a Bike Rodeo at the corner of corner of Chelsea Ave and Evergreen.

The Mission of Greater Memphis Greenline, Inc. is to collaborate in a public-private partnership with local government in the development of the GMG and other unused railway right-of ways and easements in Memphis and Shelby County, and to create a world-class recreational park/hiking-biking trail system. This trail system will help people engage with their neighbors and move to the sidewalk instead of the sofa. Read more about our mission here.

Now that the Shelby Farms Greenline is complete, we are working on projects to create an integrated multi-use trail system throughout Memphis and Shelby County. We are working with MLG&W to eventually develop 400 miles of easements, negotiating with Union Pacific RR to purchase a 2-mile section near Chelsea Avenue, drawing plans for a trailhead near Scott and Broad Avenues, promoting neighborhood bike lanes and local amenities for existing trails and more.
